About our Organistaion
"Sri Ramakrishna Seva Samithi is established on 14th January 2005 serving the community of Huzurnagar and also different villages in this mandal. Ramakrishna Seva Samithi is a fully affiliated centre of the Ramakrishna-Vivekananda Bhavaprachara Parishad, Andhra Pradesh, which runs under the guidance of Ramakrishna Math & Ramakrishna Mission, Belur Math, Dist Howrah, West Bengal.
It was founded by the inspiration of Swami Vivekananda, whose Principal ideal is 'Aathmano Mokshaartham Jagaddhithaayacha' -self revelation-universal welfare (sacrifice-service). Our organization works with the inspiration of the monks of the Ramakrishna order. Monks visit our samithi regularly to conduct various programs.
This organization has been striving for child education, inculcation of moral and spiritual values and working for the character building among children as well as youth in the village.
Our Mission
Conducting prayer meetings and spiritual retreats, Free distribution of Clothes, Drinking water in summer, plantation of trees, conducting Free Medical Camps and extending helping hand to the needy are the important service activities organized by us, and these activities received all praises from all corners.
The activities of our Samithi are taken up with the help and assistance of the friends and well-wishers of our Samithi. In our organization all the activities are carried out by volunteers and there are no paid workers
Blood Donation Camp:
Blood camps are conducted twice a year in assosiation with the Government Blood Bank, Nalgonda. Five camps have been conducted so far.
Medical Camp:
These include both eye camps and general medical camps. Eye camps are conducted through out the Huzurnagar Mandal.
Plantation:
Around 100 saplings with tree guards were planted in Huzurnagar at saibaba temple road.
Library:
In our Seva Samithi library thousands of books on Religion, Philosophy, Arts, Literature of Swami Vivekananda and other philosophers. There is a separate section for Children as well. At the Book Bank, academic books are rented to students of higher studies like engineering, who cannot afford to purchase books of their own.
Youth Camps:
Personality Development, Communication skills development, Yoga classes are conducted as partof the Youth camp, targeted mainly at college students. Ramakrishna Mutt Swamijis and other renowned speakers are invited to conduct these classes.
Rural Development:
The service in helping the poor students to pursue their further studies and in pulling their poor families out from poverty with the assistance of Philanthropists is a great need of the society and distributing the note books for poort students.
Spiritual Retreats:
Conducting spiritual retreats include Life and Teachings of Sri Ramkrishna Paramahamsa, Holy Mother Sri Sarada Devi , Swami Vivekananda. The speakers are from Math and Missions, and other Guest speakers.
Water Camps:
Water camps are conducted for three months, April to June, during summer at two locations in Huzurnagar, viz, Pottisriramulu Centre and Indra Center.
Book Exibition:
Book Exhibitions are conducted at Schools,Colleges, on public events to spread the message of Sri Ramakrishna, Holy Mother,Swami Vivekanada and other monks of the order.
